Job Description:
| Occupational Therapist will be servicing school corporations in the Wabash River Special Services Cooperative which covers Fountain, Parke, Vermillion and/or Warren County, Indiana. |
Job Requirements:
| Provide school-based OT services in multiple school building locationsKnowledge of supporting students with special education needs/disabilitiesKnowledge of current federal, state and local laws/regulationsAbility to communicate effectively (both written and orally) with educational personnel, administrators, parents and community membersAbility to interpret the role of therapeutic intervention within the school setting to educational personnel, administrators, parents and community membersAbility to document assessment and intervention results as related to the educational goals of the studentAbility to develop, implement, evaluate, and modify activities for therapeutic intervention within the school setting as appropriateParticipate as a member of the Case Conference Committee and Evaluation Team member as appropriateMonitor and maintain therapy equipment and recommend purchase of necessary therapy and/or assistive devices as appropriateAct as a resource person for other therapists, teachers, nurses, and other school personnelComplete necessary reports and paperwork as required by Article 7, WRSSC and district schools. |
Certification Requirements or Job Qualifications:
| Appropriate Indiana Occupational Therapist Licensure Or, Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy |
