Job Description:
| Occupational Therapist will be servicing school corporations in the Wabash River Special Services Cooperative which covers Fountain, Parke, Vermillion and/or Warren County, Indiana. |
Job Requirements:
● Provide school-based OT services in multiple school building locations ● Knowledge of supporting students with special education needs/disabilities ● Knowledge of current federal, state and local laws/regulations ● Ability to communicate effectively (both written and orally) with educational personnel, administrators, parents and community members ● Ability to interpret the role of therapeutic intervention within the school setting to educational personnel, administrators, parents and community members Salary will be determined based on education and experience ● Ability to document assessment and intervention results as related to the individual goals of the student ● Ability to develop, implement, evaluate, and modify activities for therapeutic intervention within the school setting as appropriate ● Participate as a member of the Case Conference Committee and Evaluation Team member as appropriate ● Monitor and maintain therapy equipment and recommend purchase of necessary therapy and/or assistive devices as appropriate ● Act as a resource person for other therapists, teachers, nurses, and other school personnel ● Complete necessary reports and paperwork as required by Article 7, WRSSC and district schools. |
Certification Requirements or Job Qualifications:
| Appropriate Indiana Occupational Therapist Licensure Or, Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy |
